Having hope is important to the very act of being human.  Hope is a match in a dark tunnel, a moment of light, just enough to reveal the path ahead and ultimately the way out.  No matter how you have conditioned yourself in the past, there is still hope for you.

There are certain things you can do that will naturally allow you to nurture more hope in your life. As long as you commit yourself to making some changes, positive things will begin to unfold in your life. As a result, you will find the strength to overcome your biggest fears and toughest challenges.

Here are some suggestions for you to consider:

  • Everyone experiences fear, stress, anxiety, frustration, overwhelm, and a plethora of other debilitating emotions at times. These emotions are a natural part of life. How you manage your emotional experiences has a lot to do with how you perceive the situation in which you find yourself.
  • Interpret things one way and you will feel hopeless and overwhelmed. Choose to interpret things another way and you’ll feel empowered and upbeat. It all depends on how you reframe your situation.
  • Hope, of course, requires trust. It requires you to completely trust yourself and your ability to get through any and every situation. Whenever you feel doubt creeping in, take a look in the mirror and with a big smile on your face say, “ I believe in myself. I will get through this. Everything is for the best.”
  • It’s important to make peace with those things that are not working for you. Life is uncertain and sometimes events have taken place that you wished hadn’t happened. But, since they “happened” you need to deal with them in the best way possible. Remind yourself that a lot of good can come out of a seemingly bad situation. In fact, if you think back to various moments of your life you will probably find many instances where this has been proven to be true.
  • Another powerful way to build your hope muscle is to surround yourself with positive people who can become role models and inspire you to be the best version of yourself. These are your allies and you can count on them to show you a more hopeful way of looking at life.
  • Most of all remember to listen to your self-talk and stop yourself from engaging in any negative self-talk. This is a hard one because it’s so easy to remain stuck in self-loathing and self-judgment. Ask yourself when those nasty thoughts creep in, “is this true?” “Do I know this to be absolutely true?”

Believe it or not, you live in an abundant Universe constantly conspiring us to live a life full of meaning. Look at all the little things you take for granted. Look at the amazing world you live in. Look at nature and its magnificence. Take a look at your magnificence and never forget how great you are.
